Here’s a few pictures from last week’s filming in Tredegar. Making this film with a group of young people was a hugely enjoyable experience. We were fortunate enough to take the team across for two days of the filming, which was quite an eye opener for the girls we were working with. We aimed to make sure the filming process was as fun for them as it is for us, judging by the laughter I think we managed it. We can’t wait to get them editing with Chris next week.
After completing the filming in Tredegar, we are pleased to announce that we have been asked to make a series of six short documentaries in our home village of Blaina. The project will be done in conjunction with Blaina’s own, Communities First. In all six films we will be working with the community to tell their stories. In an exciting move we will also be passing on the practical skills of filmmaking to two of the groups involved. If last week’s adventures in Tredegar are anything to go by the next few weeks should be very fun indeed.
